Jerry Don "J.D." Ridgell, Sr., was born April 27, 1946, to the late Labue and Ruth Ridgell in Monticello, AR.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Keith and Olean Girtman; and one niece, Rebie Ann Ambrose-Green.
J.D. leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Katina Ridgell of Little Rock, AR; one son, Jerry Don Ridgell, Jr., of Monticello, AR; one brother, Alvin Ridgell and wife Linda of Monticello, AR; three sisters, Emma Jean Green and husband Carl of Little Rock, AR; Bessie Ruth Dunlap and husband Japan of Monticello, AR, and Margaret Barnes and L.C. of Dermott, AR; one grandson, Laquon Williams of Bedford, TX; and one great-grandson, Lamari Williams of Dallas, TX; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The wake will be Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Monticello, AR with Rev. Chris Goodman officiating.
