Homer Herndon Grantham, 87 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2012 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born August 15, 1925 in Parkin, AR.
He was a retired electrical engineer, U. S. Marine Veteran of WW II having served in 1st Marine Division and a Baptist. He was a published author of "Thunder in the Morning" and a member of the International Electronic & Electrical Engineer Association. He was the son of the late Robert Young Grantham and Carrie May Varner Grantham.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Brown Grantham of Helena; two sons, Craig Herndon Grantham and wife, Janet of Monticello and Gary Wayne Grantham and wife, Laurie of Beaumont, TX; two brothers, Robert Grantham of California and John Lee Grantham of Mayflower; one sister, Ida May Kilpatrick of Cabot; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
