Derwin Ray Curtis, 54, of Monticello, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at his home. He was born August 5, 1958 in Drew County, AR.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Prattsfield Farms and also worked for Georgia Pacific for 25 years. He was a Baptist and was preceded in death by his father, Glifford Lester Curtis.

Survivors include his wife, Mable Smith of Monticello; one son, Clifford Curtis and wife, Mandy, of Tinsman; one daughter, Sherry Barnett and husband, David, of Monticello; his mother, Flora Curtis Dickey of Monticello; two brothers, Richard Dickey and wife, Samantha and Wesley Curtis and wife, Keely both of Monticello; one sister, Peggy Chalk of Monticello; six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
