Bobby Gene Strickland, age 78 of Green Hill passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born April 26, 1935 to the late Jack Strickland and Lottie Lacy Strickland.

Bobby was a retired welder with Pipeline Local 798 and a member of the Northside Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Williene Norman Strickland and one brother, Billy Strickland.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Strickland and wife Susie of New Hope and Scott Strickland and wife Lisa of Fountain Hill; four daughters, Dorcas Burton and husband Buck of New Hope, Regina Wilson and husband David also of New Hope, Fonda Norris and husband Danny of Warren and Beverly Flemister and husband Jeff of Monticello; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
