Clifford Baines, 79 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant AME Church of Monticello.

Clifford was born to the late Ernest and Zeola Baines in Monticello. He moved to Los Angeles, California and lived there until his retirement. Clifford married the late Peggy Davis Baines and had two sons from that Union. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Ernest, Preston, Sylvester and Jesse Baines and one sister, Zenola Baines.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Robert Timothy Baines (Micshayla) and Thomas C. Davis; two grandchildren, Tim and Timia Baines; a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, family and many close friends.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 31at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Scroggins, officiating. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
