Aneta Ruth Addington Pace, 83, of Wilmar, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Homer Pace and by her parents Henry W Addington and Ola Brown Addington, three brothers and two sisters and one great grandchild.
She is survived by three siblings; one brother, Doral Addington, and two sisters, Rita Foster and Alice Meeks; five children, Gay Young of Greenhill (Mike), Joy Lawson of Greenhill (Danny), Gary Pace of Greenhill (Becky Young), Tommy Pace of White Hall (Linda McDougald), and Grant Pace of Monticello (Gay Calhoun); eleven grandchildren, Jeff Young, Melissa Chapman, Wesley Lawson, Kerri Peterson, Jarred Pace, Matt Pace, Jenny Self, Jana Gastineau, Jacob Pace, Jill Pace, and Brice Pace. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, as well as, several other loving family members brought in through marriage.
She was a charter member of Greenhill Community Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for 23 years and as a Sunday school teacher for kindergarten through third grade children.
She is a retired Union Bank employee. She served for a number of organizations at local and state levels. She served as treasurer for the Awana's Club, chairman of Lady's Circle for the Baptist College Ministries, board member for Farmers Home Administration, chairman of Drew County Farm Bureau Women's Committee, state board member of Arkansas Farm Bureau Women's Committee, PTA president for Wilmar schools, and treasurer of the area wide churches.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
