Bessie Mae Owen
June 9, 1924 - July 22, 2015

Bessie Mae Owen, age 91 of Hot Springs, formerly of Dumas, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Hot Springs. She was born June 9, 1924 in Dumas to the late Jim and Blanche Smith.

She was the widow of Lamar Owen, a homemaker and a graduate of Dumas High School. Mrs. Owen was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church Strumming Seniors and was a kutter for volunteers in the Pine Bluff Public School System. Her favorite hobby was painting where she won numerous awards and was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Brucine and Patty Lou O達riant; the father of her children, Kenneth O達riant; four brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Karen Hunt.

Survivors include three sons, Larry O達riant and wife Monica and Bobby O達riant and wife Paulette all of Hot Springs and Danny Owen of Harrison; one daughter, Judy Brumett and husband Bill of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren, Craig O達riant, Shauna Flowers, Brad Burleson, Eddie Boren, Paul Boren, Greg O達riant, Terri Brumett, Allen Brumett and Stacie Lytle; and fourteen great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Pleasant Springs Cemetery in Drew County. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
