I am a Veteran.Robert Stanley Burton
May 5, 1953 - January 20, 2017

Robert Stanley Burton, age 63 of Lake Village, formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born May 5, 1953 in Drew County, AR to the late William O. Burton and Jewel Jones Burton.

He was a retired construction worker, U S Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a Christian of the Baptist faith. Robert was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He enjoyed playing dominos with family and friends. He was a loving dad, granddaddy and brother and was loved and will be truly missed by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Burton and two nephews, Scott Burton and Clint Burton.

Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Morgan of Hot Springs; two granddaughters, Jordan Leonard and Kloe Rogers, both of Hot Springs; one grandson, Bryce Morgan of Hot Springs; one great-granddaughter, Laiklin Bailey of Hot Springs and one expected great-grandson, Liam Leonard; four brothers, Kenneth Burton and wife Kathryne of Monticello, Jackie Burton and wife Betty of Lake Village, Randy Burton of Monticello and Ricky Burton and wife Michelle of Monticello; one sister, Linda Carpenter and husband Lloyd of Monticello; one sister-in-law, Kay Burton of Monticello; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
