Harry E. Crossett, Sr.

Harry E. Crossett, Sr. of Monticello died September 4, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR at the age of 91 years. He was born on June 6, 1926, in Pine Bluff, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Thelma Crossett and brothers, Richard and Andy Crossett.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Floy Mae of Monticello; one sister, Mamie Carter of Dardanelle; three sons, Harry, Jr. (Becky) of Batesville, Jim (Cookie) of Monticello, and Randy (Kathy) of Bryant; one daughter, Brenda Carothers (Ron) of LaGrange, GA; and a grandson raised as a son, Ben Crossett (Jennifer) of Stuttgart. Grandchildren are Scott Crossett, Joseph Crossett, Leah Cook, Cara Hume, Patrick Lewis, and Hannah Box. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.

As soon as he turned 18, he enlisted and proudly served in the 101st Airborne Paratrooper Division of the United States Army during World War II. He was a faithful member of Monticello First Baptist Church. His career with Bell Telephone Company spanned 50 years. His lifelong passion for anything equine led to many special friendships developed through showing his Tennessee Walking Horses.
