Angela Michelle Cook
May 15, 1973 - May 4, 2010

Angela Michelle Cook, 36, was born May 15, 1973 in Warren, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Rev. Dr. Robert Lee Cook and Mary Ann Dismute Cook. She departed this life on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Julia Elaine and Jessica Ann Cook.

Angela accepted Christ at a very early age. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Monticello, Arkansas until she moved to Washington, D.C. She is now a member of Mt. Zion North Warren, Warren, Arkansas.

Angela graduated as Valedictorian from Monticello High School in 1991. She received a bachelor degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Pine Bluff, Pine Bluff Arkansas. Angela also graduated in the top five percent of her class at American University in Washington, D.C. where she received her master’s degree. Angela was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Angela was employed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service. She began her career under the Student Educational Employment Program while attending UAPB. She worked on the Budget Staff for Arkansas, Louisiana, Iowa and Washington, D.C. She received numerous awards and accolades during her career.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents, Rev. Dr. Robert L. and Mary Cook, Monticello, AR; two children, Alexander James Gray and Mary Alexis Gray, Monticello, AR; one brother, Robert L. Cook, Jr. (Tasha) of Sumter, SC. Uncles: James Cook, Jr., Houston, TX; Roger M. Dismute, Hampton, AR; Billy H. (Georgia) Dismute, Harrell, AR; Robert L. (Sue) Dismute, Warren, AR. Aunts: Tommie (Larry) Broughton, Warren, AR; Cynthia (Woodrow) Randall and Cornelia (Ovid) Goode, Hampton, AR; Trena (James) White of El Dorado, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.
