Jack Hugh Harper

Jack Hugh Harper, age 81, of Rock Springs, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Belleview Estates Nursing & Rehab. He was born October 30, 1929 in Drew County.

He was retired from Burlington, was owner/operator of a chip truck, a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Arkansas A&M College (now UAM) with a major in accounting. He was the son of the late Johnnie Wells Harper and Thelma Rebecca McKeown Harper and was preceded in death by his wife, Louona Harper, his oldest son, Randy Harper, a great grandson, Ridley Bostian, and two brothers, John Otis Harper and Donald Louis Harper. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and farming.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Eugene Harper of Rock Springs; three daughters, Teresa Bostian and husband Don of Rock Springs, Donna Harper of Harrell and Gloria Jordan and husband John of Monticello; one brother, J. W. Harper of North Carolina; one sister, Shirley Chambers of Alaska; eight grandchildren, David and Jackey Bostian, Christopher, Stephen and Alicia Hammock, J. J. Jordan, and Cheyenne and Tyler Harper; and six great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Sara and Dakota Bostian, Elizabeth Hammock, A. J. Thomas and Aiden Jordan.
