William Terrell Underwood, Sr., 76 of Sheridan, formerly of Monticello, passed away Monday at St. Vincents Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born January 31, 1936 in Cotton Valley, LA. to the late Robert Fay and Mildred Langley Underwood.

He was a retired tile contractor and a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Watson Chapel. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Louise Underwood; one brother, Gerald Smith and two sisters, Cecelia Tripp and Barbara Monroe.

Survivors include his wife; Jeanette Truhett Underwood of Sheridan; three sons, William T. Underwood, Jr. of Harrah, OK, Mike Underwood of Shongaloo, LA and John Underwood of Memphis, TN; two daughters; Kathryn Underwood of Atlanta, GA and Beverly Davis of Monticello; three step-sons, Tony Brown of Jacksonville, FL, Timothy Brown of Star City and Jeffrey Hill of Sheridan; three sisters, Doris Marks of Springdale, AR, Linda Nelson of Springhill, LA and Jane Cook of Flower Mound, TX; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
