Bertha Mae Caldwell
May 10, 1942 - December 9, 2012

Bertha Mae “Gracie” Caldwell was born May 10, 1942 to the union of Glennie and Sylvester Williams of Portland, Arkansas. She received her formal education in the Portland School System.

Bertha had a very special relationship with God and had accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age while attending True Vine Baptist Church, and later moved her membership to Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dermott, Arkansas.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Glennie and Sylvester Williams, her beloved husband, Luther Caldwell, her brothers, EuJean Williams, Jessie Williams, her sisters, Josephine Peeples, Effie Green, Vernetha Lambert, her special son-in-law, Frank Lucas, her son-in-law, Leon Moore and her grandson, Jalen DeShawn Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, four daughters, Gwen Shelton (Lee) of Monticello, Beotha “Mickey” Moore of Star City, Thelma Moore of Chicago, IL and Jacqueline Jones of Monticello; one step-daughter, Pearly Mae Caldwell of Monroe, LA; three sons, Leon Jordan (Tasha) of Stockbridge, GA, Ronnie Davenport of Fayetteville and Rickey Coleman of Arlington, TX; four sisters, Littie Divine and Etheal Davies, both of McGehee, Willie Mae Massie of Star City and Stelly Isom of Dermott; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a very special niece, Kaye Jackson and a very special cousin, Pinkie Carter that she loved very much and a very special friend, Ms. Willie Mae Atkins that stayed with her until her new beginning of life.
