Willie Mae Daniels Harris, 88, daughter of the late Charlie and Evelena Daniels passed away early, Monday, April 29, 2013. She confessed her love for Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Shady Grove AME Church. She served as pianist, missionary, stewardess, secretary, and treasurer.
Willie Mae was a dedicated school teacher of thirty-four years; educating in Cornerville, McGehee, Selma, Hermitage, and Monticello where she retired in 1984. She was a member of the Mary F. Lomax civic club, Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, and Southside Extension homemakers club. Her main purpose in life was her devotion and dedication to family and loved ones. Opening her heart and giving hope to all who knew her.
Willie Mae was preceded in death by her husband Walter C. Harris, and son Terry C. Harris. She leaves to cherish one sister, Eddilen Tucker; two daughters, Patricia Ann Ridgell and Evelyn Faye Harris; one son, Gary Lynn Harris; grandchildren, Shelia Lucas (Stanley), Toni Mosley, Kesha Ridgell, and Jeffery Harris; great-grandchildren, Jermel & Sherrod Lucas, Khalid & Josiah Ticer, Yohance & Asha Mosley, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
