Ouida Burchfield Young, 79, of Monticello, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born December 29, 1933 in Dermott.

She was the widow of Adrian Young, Jr., a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the daughter of the late Carl Burchfield and Myrtle Jones Burchfield and was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Young, her father and mother in laws, Louis and Elsie Young, three brothers, one sister, two twin great-grandchildren, Memphis and Willow Ellenson.

Survivors include one daughter, Lori Young Labaj, and husband, Craig, of Monticello; five grandchildren, Chris and wife, Tasha, Matthew and fiancé, Jodi, Denver and fiancé, Lindsey, Leigh-Anne and Blane; two step-grandchildren, Andrew Brannon and wife, Sasha and Sarah Brannon and fiancé, Matt; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Christopher Ellenson and Trace Brannon; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Werb of Lake Village; one sister-in-law, Martha Ormand and husband, Jack, of San Antonio, TX; and a very special friend, Nan Millsap of Greenbrier.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
