Jewel Etheline Minchew Peacock, 89, of Monticello passed away July 15, 2013 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born September 27, 1923 in Hector, AR to the late Jim Mack Petty and Nora Louisia Petty.

She was a retired Certified Nurses Assistant, a housewife and member of the Friendship Pentecostal Church of God. She was an avid bowler in her younger years. She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Minchew and two daughters, Diane Posey and Barbara Peacock.

Survivors include one son, Wesley Minchew of McGehee and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
