Lexie Mae Ogles Willis, 87, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Woods Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. She was born January 13, 1926 in Selma, AR, the daughter of the late Lee Roy Ogles and Maggie Fincher Ogles.

She was the widow of George Edward Willis, retired from Burlington Industries and a member of Second Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Willis and Mary Willis Thornhill and one brother, Odis Ogles.

Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Willis Higgins and husband, Fred of Delhi, LA; two sisters, Julia Burton and Ruby McCone, both of Monticello; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a very special niece and caregiver, Gloria Hensley of Monticello and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
