More than 30 years ago, I had the pleasure of renting a trailer from Ms. Margret and Mr. Bill... She and I walked around the circle at Montongo, she would help me frost my hair, and Mr. Bill would occasionally bake a coco cake. She was a gentle lady, always busy with something special i.e. Sewing blankets in frames. Living in the country, was always a challenge but we loved it, so much so that I bought a home just up the road from Ms. Pearl. Decaids have passed, I can still hear her say " Charles!" Truly special!!!

Mom and I had a mutual love and respect for each other. She was a shining example of what a woman of God should be and was a wonderful example of a mother in law. She set a standard I strive for in my life as woman, mom and grandma. I will miss her.
