I had the office next to Roy for his first two years at UAM. I left UAM for my current job in 2002. I had spent several great hours discussing life in general and academics in particular with him. He was a very good friend. I am very sorry for your loss.

So incredibly sorry to hear of Dr. Cabaniss’ passing. He was my favorite professor in college. He always made learning so engaging and definitely made a life long impact. Prayers for all of you, I know he will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and prayers go to Candi and all Roy's children. He was one of the smartest people I've ever known. Roy helped me out on several occasions with problems I was having with my computer. He was a great bridge player against whom I enjoyed a competitive challenge when we were opponents and a feeling of security when we were partners. May he rest in peace and may his family be comforted with many happy memories.
