Jimmy Carroll Sawyer

Jimmy Carroll Sawyer, age 77 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born July 20, 1937 in Drew County, AR to the late Sidney Harris Sawyer and Mary Lou Lane Sawyer.
He was a retired civil engineer for Hardaway Corporation, a Mason, Shriner and a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby H. Sawyer and a sister, Mayvia J. Sawyer Robbins.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Cheryl Arkin of Nashville, TN and Glenda Regina Swisher of Houston, TX; one sister, Melinda Sawyer McDaniel of Monticello; three grandsons, one granddaughter and a devoted partner and friend, Laverne Elliott of Monticello.
