Juanita Finch Dye

Juanita Finch Dye, age 72 of Monticello, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home in Monticello. She was born July 25, 1945 in Dallas, TX to the late Frances Wood "F.W" Finch and Louise Crow Finch. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a step-son, Randy Dye; and a step-grandchild, Allen Bodiford.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was a faithful Sunday School teacher, taught Bible Studies and was privileged to go on foreign mission trips to Brazil and Turkey. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education at UAM and her Master's Degree in Special Education at University of Arkansas. She taught school for 35 years and was principal at age 23.
Although Juanita had many talents, her hobbies were camping, tennis, golf, traveling with her husband in his big truck and spending time with family and friends. She was Queen Bee in the Red Hat Society and was an avid Razorback fan.
Juanita is survived by her husband of 33 years, Winfred Dye of Monticello; two daughters, Crystal Pace of Little Rock and Dixie Pace of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Jonathan Brown and wife Sarah of Golden, CO, Dustin Brown and wife Lori of Pittsburgh, PA and Courtney Crawford Laws and husband Joe of Ft. Collins, CO; six great-grandchildren, Ethan Brown, Ella Brown, Jackson Brown, Luke Laws, Owen Laws and Taylor Brown; six step-children, Cindy Forrest (Donnie), Shirley Baynes, Alice Forrest (Michael), Danita James (Mitch) all of Monticello and Sara Snead (Matt) of Little Rock; seventeen step-grandchildren and twelve step great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mary Wallace and Ann Johnson both of Monticello; Jean Carr of Warren
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Second Baptist Church, 1032 Old Warren Rd, Monticello, AR. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
