Joe Edward James

Joseph Edward "Joe" James, age 81, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock. He was born January 27, 1928 in Calmer in Lincoln County.
He was a pipeline worker and a Baptist. He was the son of the late Thomas Newton James and Cindy Ann Hassell James and was preceded in death by one step-son, W.D. Parrott, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Rowena Poteet James of Monticello; three sons, Buddy James and Bruce James, both of Warren and Wesley James and wife, Judy of Monticello; two daughters, Linda Crook and husband Don of Monticello and Joline Lee and husband James of Lathrop, MO; one step-son Roy Parrott of Atkins, AR; two step-daughters, Jenne Sullivan and Barbara Ogles, both of Warren, AR; nineteen grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
