Emma Jean Miller Wiscaver ''Mama Jean'', age 89 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Belleview Estates Nursing and Rehab in Monticello, AR. She was born October 4, 1933, in Monticello, AR to the late Loie Travis Miller and Emma Lawson Miller.
She was the widow of Charles Thomas Wiscaver, retired manager of Annswood Apartments, previous owner of Miller Plumbing Company and longtime member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church where she served as pianist and organist for 40-plus years. Mama Jean loved shopping, visiting with her many friends, traveling to Branson, eating breakfast, doing her hair, nails and jewelry but her greatest love was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Miller Howlett.
Survivors include her three daughters, Carolyn Smith and husband Harold of Monticello, Beverly Stevenson and husband Larry of St. Charles, MO and Tommie Moyers and husband George of Crossett; six grandchildren, Brian Smith and wife Mitzi, Chris Rash and wife Katie, Cara Fletcher and husband Wes, Amanda Bequette and husband Dave, Alan Bickford and wife Amanda and Jared Bickford; great grandchildren, Grace Smith, Ashtyn Smith, Logan Fletcher, Lillian Fletcher, Lynley Fletcher, Rian Bequette, Peyton Bequette, Daniel Rash, Benjamin Rash, Lane Bickford, Bella Bickford, Charlee Kaye Bickford and Cathryn Bickford; a great-great grandson expected in January, Collin Remick; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special roommate, Florence Glover and special friend, Rebecca McCallie both from Belleview Estates.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Pauline Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Clements and Rev. Rob Leonard officiating. There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. Memorials may be made to Pauline Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund; PO Box 299 Monticello, AR 71657.
