Bettye Jo Edwards
January 14, 1941 - February 22, 2023

Bettye Jo Edwards was born on Tuesday, January 14, 1941, in Lincoln County, Arkansas to the late James Giggles and Wille Mae (Walls) Giggles. Bettye loved the Lord and accepted him as her personal savior at a young age. She was a faithful member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She sang in the choir and held other positions in the church. Later in life, she became a member of Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, North Warren under the leadership of Pastor Robert Cook.
Bettye was a graduate of Bradley County High School, class of 1960. After graduation, she married the late J.D. Edwards on December 14, 1959, and God blessed their union with four beautiful children. 
She worked several jobs in her lifetime including The Coral, Morgan Lindsey, Warren Hospital, Warren School District, and the Human Development Center, where she worked until retirement.
Bettye Jo (some of her greatest moments): loved fishing and went often with her husband J.D, she loved flowers and would always watch them bloom in the springtime, enjoyed spending time with her family for holidays, vacations, and special events, and spent time talking on the phone with her children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends.
Mrs. Bettye Jo Edwards entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, after passing away peacefully in her sleep at her daughter's home.
Bettye was proceeded in death by her parents James Giggles and Willie Mae (Giggles), husband J.D. Edwards, and other family members.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her children, Belinda (Sam) Madujibeya of Gardner, NC, Robert Edwards of Hot Springs, AR, Jennifer (Isaac) Igbonagwam of Austell, GA, and Lucinda (Donald) Harris of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Mae (Jessie) Hinton of Little Rock, AR and Carolyn (Aubert) Beavers of Pine Bluff, AR; One step-brother Thomas (Becky) Giggles of California; two stepsisters Emily Giggles of Colorado and Shirley Giggles of California; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; two special friends; Hazel Worthy and Gretchen Peacock, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
