Bertha Lee Binns
July 3, 1957 - December 22, 2024
Bertha Lee Binns began her journey, born on July 3, 1957, to her parents the late John Henry and Lilian Martin. Bertha's home was the house the family would always gather for a good time. Bertha confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was employed by Leisure Lodge, Belle View, ICM, and many other care giving agencies. She was a faithful caregiver who loved people. Bertha was united in Holy Matrimony to Fredrick Binns, her faithful and loving husband in 1988. Bertha passed on December 22, 2024, surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents, Bertha is preceded in death by two sisters, Obie Jean Davis and Frankie Harrison; one brother, John Martin, Jr.; and two brother in laws, James Binns and Billie Binns.
Left to remember and carry on her legacy are, her loving husband, Fredrick Binns, one son, Michael Daniels; one daughter, Dorinda Creightney and husband Phil; two grandsons, Corey Johnson and Michael Girtman; three sisters, Bobbie Jean Martin and Roberta (Albert) Simmons both of Monticello, Theresa (Larry) Moten of Pine Bluff, AR; four brothers, Johnny Martin, Sr. and Joe Martin of Monticello, AR, Lavell (Mary) Martin and Lynn (Jahaira) Martin of Texas; her mother in law, Pearline Binns; four sisters in law, Vanessa Binns, LaSheta Binns, Cecily Binns, and Kalethia Binns; one sister in law, Rose Jordan Ridgell; five brothers in law, Jewell Binns, Daniel Binns, Cedric Binns, Quincy Binns, and Xavier Binns; a very special aunt, Ms. Beatrice Webster; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Sunday, December 29, 2024, in both at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello, AR. You can sign Bertha's guestbook here on her page.
