Sue Miller
August 28, 1932 - September 22, 2025
Sue Montgomery Miller, age 93 of the Rock Springs community, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, at Belle View Nursing and Rehab in Monticello, AR. She was born August 28, 1932, in Rock Springs, AR, to the late Roy Montgomery and Mary Wall Montgomery.
Sue was a native of Arkansas who graduated from Glendale High School. She was married to George Miller in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, from 1951 until his death, a union that lasted 65 years. Sue retired from Sego Exterminators as an office manager in Beaumont, Texas, in 1992. Upon retirement, Sue and her late Husband George moved back to Rock Springs.
She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of St. Luke's UMC in Beaumont, Texas, and later Rock Springs UMC. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, appreciating the beauty of nature, and made personal bags by hand for those in need. Sue enjoyed hosting dinners at their house. She ensured that every visitor never felt unwelcome, always leaving with a full stomach. She enjoyed savoring a fresh cup of coffee with friends and engaging in conversation. She took comfort in watching her children and grandchildren achieve personal and professional success in their own lives. Sue's family members were always welcomed home with their favorite meals and desserts.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her seven siblings, James, Kenneth, Vick, Jack Montgomery, Elizabeth Terrell, Nell Harper, and Katherine Montgomery. As well, her Son-in-law, Mark Campbell, preceded her in death.
Survivors include children: Linda Montgomery of Waco, Texas, Marion Campbell of Montgomery, Texas, Lance and wife Laura Miller of Wright, Wyoming, and five grandchildren, Cheryl Grosso, Allan Campbell, Jason Plumley, Allison Barrett, and Wesley Campbell; and eight great-grandchildren, Maddy, David, Will, Bradley, Lucas, Franklin, Jackson, and Kate.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Rock Springs Community Church, Rock Springs, Arkansas. There will be a visitation at 9:30 a.m. preceding the funeral service. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. You can sign Mrs. Sue's guestbook registry here on her page.
