Shelia Jean McDonald Hummel
January 17, 1961 - March 13, 2026
Shelia Jean McDonald Hummel, age 65 of Lake Village, AR, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She was born January 17, 1961, in Monticello, AR to the late Grady Aubrey Smith and Willie Jean Stewart Smith.
She was Cashier for Sullivan's in Lake Village for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Shelia loved to fish and ride around in nature with her husband drinking her diet coke but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandkids. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Adrian McDonald; and two great grandchildren, Jacob Winters and Denham Woods.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Hummel of Lake Village; her children, Michael Shane McDonald of Pine Bluff, Brandy McDonald and April Brooks both of Lake Village; her grandchildren, Maria, Alex, Stormy, Jason, Jessie, Lorena, Carmen and Dylan; along with her great grandchildren, Denver, Reyna.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation from 2:00-3:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
