Frances Elizabeth Lavender Prescott

Frances Elizabeth Lavender Prescott, 72, of Monticello, Arkansas passed away at her home on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born July 24, 1953, to the late Harold Lloyd Lavender and Thelma Emily Byrson Lavender in Prescott, Arkansas. Frances was a kind soul who loved animals and children. She had a master's degree in education and taught school for several years before becoming the hospital administrator for 4 West Veterinarian Clinic in Monticello where she worked for thirty-four years. Frances also loved to hunt and spend time with her sister Shirley.
In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her siblings, Alma Inez Ledbetter, John Douglas Lavender, Carl Alvin Lavender, Annie May Lavender, and Carolyn Ruth Dodson.
She is survived by siblings, Esther Marie Pyle, Robert Lester Lavender, Mary Jane Gilbert, Harold Shelton Lavender, and Shirley Faye Lavender; a guardian child, Grace McKenzie Murphy who was the love of her life; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
There will be a visitation at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. There will be a visitation at Brazzell Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be in Libert Cemetery on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
