Louis Coalter

Louis Coalter, age 89 of Monticello, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Belle View Estates Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. He was born November 18, 1936, to the late Robert H. Coalter and Mary Ruth Hollis Coalter.
He was a farmer in Arkansas City before becoming a truck driver for J.B. Hunt for 20 years and Akin Industries for 5 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fran Coalter.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Suzie Flemister of Monticello; a daughter, Rebecca Burk of Jacksonville; a granddaughter, Laven Burk; and special friends, Houston Marshall and Steve and Theresa Curry.
Graveside services will be in Oakland Cemetery at a time to be determined.
