Christell Pemberton Fox, 79, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her home. She was born October 13, 1933, in Gould, Arkansas to the late Samuel Gordon Pemberton and Sarah Suzie Gautney Pemberton.
She was a housewife and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in Monticello. She was the widow of the late Johnny Lee Fox and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Harris Shelby, three brothers, Foster Pemberton, Milton Pemberton and Bill Pemberton, and one sister, Nevadell Connard.
Survivors include five children; Billy Shelby and wife, Gail, of Wilmar, Sheryl Thomas and husband, Charles, of Plain Dealing, LA, Barbara Manes and husband, James, of Monticello, Joyce Chapman and husband, John, of Houston, AR and Patricia Goggans and husband, Gary, of Monticello; one sister, Mildred Forrest of Monticello; one brother, Clarence Pemberton of West Monroe, LA; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
