Macie Joe Trotter, age 88 of Wilmar, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at her home. She was born July 7, 1933, in Kiser, AR to the late Burney Spears and Cecil Carlisle Spears.
Macie retired from the Coca Cola Bottling plant in 1990. She attended Oak Grove Assembly of God Church several years before she was no longer able to attend on a regular basis. Serving God was the heart of Macie. She was a prayer warrior and loved telling story after story of God's miracle working power she experienced growing up as a preacher's kid. Nothing was more important to her than her family and host of dear friends. Talking about God and her family were her two passions, along with cooking and feeding anyone who walked through the door.
Survivors include a son, Calvin (Cindy) Trotter of Warrenton, MO; a daughter, Gail (Billy) Shelby of Wilmar, AR; one sister, Judy Delzer of North Carolina; four granddaughters, Glenna Jacola of Florida, Hannah Williamson of Warren, AR, Emily Hodgson of Warrenton, MO and Megan Shelby of Waxahachie, TX; ten great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Campground Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour preceding the funeral service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

Calvin and Gail, I’m so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Aunt Jo was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. She always had a kind word and was one of my favorite Aunts. She was faithful over the years to call my mother, Annie Trotter Hoppers, and check on her. My mother loved Jo very much and considered her a dear friend. Heaven has definitely received a sweet Angel. God bless you both and all family members as you gather to celebrate your mother’s life.
  9. Mary Lasiter
