Reginald Jack Allen, age 76 of Monticello, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born May 29, 1945, in Monticello, AR to the late Bishop Ray Allen and Mavis Carter McCone.
He was a retired carpenter and member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Jack's loved deer hunting, his guns and woodworking. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bruce Allen; a sister, Marion Allen; and half-brothers, E.L. Allen, Bishop Ray Allen, Jr., Rutledge Allen, Donald Allen and Ronald Allen.
Survivors include his wife, LaVeda Oakes Allen of Monticello; two sons, Shannon Allen and wife Angie of Waco, TX and Kris Allen and wife Amy of Sheridan; one daughter, Krystle Montgomery and husband Phil of Shreveport, LA; half-sister, Mary Slaughter of Overland Park, KS; two sisters, Wanda Hudson of Farmersville, TX and Brenda Jiles of Monticello; six grandsons, three granddaughters, two great grandsons; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Roper officiating. There will be a visitation one hour preceding the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Please visit Jack's online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
