Ruby Ogles McCone, age 90 of Monticello, left her earthly body and was made whole again on the evening of December 8, 2021, in Monticello, AR. She was born June 24, 1931, to the late Leroy Ogles and Maggie Fincher Ogles. She was retired from Wal-Mart, but her true ''job'' and calling was in cooking and caring for others. If you knew ''Nana'', then you've probably had a plate full of fried chicken and a belly full of vegetables from her garden. She spent her life selflessly caring for those in need and continued this service during the time she spent at Grand Manor and through her last days. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren carry the memories of her fun-loving personality and shared her motto of ''what happens at Nana's house, stays at Nana's house.''
In addition to her mother and father, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bonnie Deal McCone; her brother, Otis Ogles; and a sister, Lexie Willis.
Ruby is survived by a sister, Julie Burton of Monticello; a son, Randy Paul McCone, and his wife Rena of Monticello; a daughter, Cindy Calhoun, and husband Randy of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Leslie Prater of Jonesboro, Hannah Flemister and husband Brian of Monticello, Kohl Jones and husband Beau of Lacey; great-grandchildren, Easton and Landry Prater, Carter and Davis Jones, and Maisa and Tate Flemister.
Graveside services will be Monday, December 13, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Union Ridge Cemetery in Monticello, Arkansas.

Sending love and prayers to the family of Miss Ruby. I first got to know her through Relay for Life and looked forward to seeing her each year for the banquet and survivor's walk. She and her sweet sister Miss Julia were certainly among my favorites . After she moved to Grand Manor I was able to visit with her a few times and it was always a joy to spend time with her. I know that you all have many fond memories that will live always in your hearts.

To Family: such a sweet lady. She was a very dedicated worker at our church and you could always count on her being in the kitchen preparing meals. Friendly and loved visiting with her. She will be missed. Love to all the family
