Lee Chester Steen was born July 3, 1932, to the late Lonnie Steen, Sr., and Melissa Pittman Steen, in Desha County, Arkansas. He departed this life January 17, 2022, at Christen St. Michael's Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. Chester grew up in McGehee, Arkansas, and attended school there on the bayou. Lee Chester was the youngest of 10 children. He had four brothers to proceed him in death and 5 sisters.

Lee Chester was united in Holy wedlock to Joyce Mae Wilson on August 6, 2005.

Lee Chester leaves to cherish precious memories his wife Joyce Mae Steen; one son, Jasper Steen (Shirley); one step-son, Bobby Allen of North Chicago, IL; three stepdaughters, Curtisteen Stanley of Monticello, AR, Nancy Allen of Wilmar, AR, and Vickie Scott and husband Alvin of Waukegan, IL; one sister in law, Georgia Ann Steen of Monticello, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marvin Mosby officiating.
