He was a heavy equipment operator for highway road construction jobs, a United States Army Veteran, a member of the United States Army Reserves, and a Southern Baptist. He last worked as a maintenance technician subcontracted to social services and welfare organization in Little Rock that provided a range of services working for homeless individuals and families. Larry loved his family first and foremost, was a fisherman and country boy at heart, an avid outdoorsman that loved the woods and waters, an advent traveler, and a proud and protective father. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and he himself was a heck of a basketball player in his day, he was difficult to beat and usually owned the rim. He was kind to all and loved to laugh! He was very proud to be from Arkansas and he let everybody know that!
He is survived by his daughter, Kami Piper; two granddaughters, Isabella Rose Piper and a second due March 31, 2022; three brothers, Bill Piper and wife Sharon, Tom Piper and wife Kris and Dennis Piper; a sister, Cathy Leslie and husband Jim; and fifteen nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Green Hill Cemetery. You can sign Larry's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
