I served in the armed forces.
Ernest W. Trotter, age 88 of Lexa, Arkansas, formerly of Monticello, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at his home. He was born February 25, 1934, in Drew County, AR to the late Thomas Henry Trotter and Ethel Cater Trotter.

He was a shipyard welder in Houston, TX and a Garden City, Kansas irrigation worker for Brown Root, Inc. He retired as a tire builder with Mohawk Rubber Company in West Helena, AR. He was a United States Army Korean War veteran and was of the Assembly of God faith. Mr. Ernest enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening and was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Frankie Trotter, Russell Trotter, Cleo Cash, May Knight and Clay Trotter.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Peggy June Robinson Trotter of Lexa, Arkansas; three children, Angela Ray and husband John Guszak of Capistrano Beach, CA, Ernest Steven Trotter and wife Debbie of Poplar Grove, AR and Brett Trotter of Hope, AR; one sister Ida Cosby, age 95, of Sunset Manor, Paragould, AR; grandchildren Avery and Caitlyn Ray; Steven and Jeffrey Trotter, Jessica Pipkin and Pamela Kellum; seven great grandsons; along with numerous nieces and nephews..

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 7, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Campground Cemetery. There will be a visitation one hour before the funeral service at the funeral home. Please sign his guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com

    I remember my Mother talking about Ethael Carter Trotter, she caller her Aunt Ethel, I know we are kin to the Carter’s and Trotters, I wonder if Ernest is my cousin. Wish I could have talk to him before he died . Sorry for your loss.
