Regina Idell Atwood, age 59 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at her home. She was born September 14, 1963, in Los Angeles, CA to the late Nelson Eddie Henry and Linda Faye Dawkins Henry.
She was employed at various places in Monticello for many years including Burlington Industries, Post Office and Circle N and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Regina was also preceded in death by her grandma, Velma Dawkins; and three grand dogs, Duke, Peanut and Jasper.
Once Daniel retired, they loved sitting around together watching western shows and talking about the old days. She loved telling stories from her childhood to the kids and singing church songs. Even though she said she could not sing, she sung in the church choir and was the loudest voice. She also loved any television shows that had singing in them and would always sing along. Regina had a big heart and would do anything for anybody. She loved her dogs and family but most of all, she adored her husband, Daniel Atwood. They were both crazy about each other.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel Atwood of Monticello; one son, Jonathan Atwood; one daughter, Danielle Atwood and wife Jessica Atwood; one brother, Nelson Michael Henry; one sister, Dianna Henry; three grandchildren, Lauren and Gannon Noel Atwood and Brianna May; one grand dog whom she loved very much, Karma; and two best friends whom she loved like her sisters, Mary Kay Bates and Birdie Grimmett and husband Doug.
There are no funeral arrangements at this time. You can sign Regina's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
