Janie West Nicholson, age 67 of Monticello, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. She was born July 7, 1955, in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Carl West and Mildred Beard West.
She was a homemaker and an active member of Ark of Faith Church. Janie loved her family and friends very much along with cooking for crowds, reading, writing poetry and crafting. She was a small woman with a huge faith and showed the love of Jesus to all she met. Janie was a graduate of Warren High School. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Larry; four sisters, Betty, Carline, Rece and Faye; two daughters, Rikki Jo and Vikki Lynn; and a nephew, Martin.
Janie married the love of her life, Wayne Nicholson on July 8, 1977. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Brandon and wife Jenn, Travis and wife Sara and Michael and wife Suzey; one daughter, Rachel and husband Allen; one brother, Robert; one sister, Laura and husband Mark; two granddaughters, Jayden and Allie; two grandsons, Drake and Oliver; a host of much loved nieces and nephews; and a collection of adored bonus children and grandchildren.
