Elva Louise Lawson House, age 75 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, at The Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello. She was born August 3, 1947, in Monticello, AR to the late David Barrington Lawson and Elva Jewell Parker Lawson.
Elva was a 1965 graduate of Monticello High School and was retired after working many years for Byrd Manufacturing in Star City, Pine Bluff Industries, Burlington Industries in Monticello and United Dollar Store in Monticello. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, John David Lawson and Jesse Lee Lawson; and a sister, Betty Jane Lawson.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Edward House of Monticello whom she married on November 30, 1968; a daughter, Lisa Kay House of Monticello; along with special friends, Dr. Jeff Reinhart and Carolyn Ripley Pierce. The family would like to issue a special thank you to Hospice Home Care, The Woods of Monticello and Woodside Medical (Dr. Jim Carmical).
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery.
