I served in the armed forces.
Dennis Alfred Sawyer was born June 22, 1950, in Drew County, Arkansas, to the late Garland and Audrey Sawyer. He departed his earthly body to be with the Lord, March 9, 2023, after months of battling cancer. He was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church, a devoted husband, father, and Papa. Dennis left a legacy in the welding industry. He traveled the world and had the opportunity to meet many strangers who are now considered his family away from home. He took opportunities to speak about his heavenly father often. Dennis loved hunting, fishing, working in his shop, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include wife of 47 years, Carol Sawyer; one son, Daniel Sawyer, and wife Terri; two daughters, Denise Morgan and husband Brad, and Nichole Sawyer; six grandchildren, Layne Sawyer, Gracie Morgan, Kaleb Hewitt, Ava and Kyra Hargis, and Stevie Christoph; two sisters, Annette Pennington and Lynette Streeter; one niece, Stephanie Kibideaux and husband Steven; four nephews, Stephen Pennington, Kevin Streeter, Tony Streeter, and Timothy Streeter; one great niece, Sidney Sizemore; one great nephew, Seth Sizemore; one sister-in-law, Beth Langdon and husband Doug; and mother-in-law, Mignon Causey.
