She was a member of Saint Marks Church of God in Christ. Monica moved to Wilmar, Arkansas at the age of 12 and attended Drew Central Schools where she played basketball and sang in the choir. After high school, she moved back to Washington State and began working in retail, advancing her career to management. She has three beautiful children whom she adored. They were her pride and joy! She later relocated to Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX where she grew to love Texas and made it home. She enjoyed doing hair, listening to music, had a passion for baking and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Royale Lexing.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Elexus Lexing, Lovely Morales and Layla Morales; the father of Lovely and Layla, Marc Morales; her mother, Bobby Ann Fletcher; her father, Robert Lexing, Jr.; her siblings, Shawntay (Donell) Watson, Robert Lexing, III, Royal Tee Lexing and Tre'shawn (Amber) Fletcher; her maternal grandparent, Garland Fletcher (and the late Joan Fletcher); her paternal grandparent, Robert Lexing, Sr. (and the late Delorse Lexing); along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Turner Hill Cemetery in Wilmar, AR.
