James Ronnie Johnson, age 80 of Hermitage, AR, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Bradley County Hospital in Warren, AR. He was born January 7, 1943, in Hermitage, AR to the late Martin and Ella Johnson.

He was a retired millwright and member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Ingalls, AR. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hamilton Johnson. James was an avid fisherman, enjoyed the outdoors and loved to tinker and build anything he felt he wanted.

He is survived by two sons, Greg Johnson and Jason Johnson both of Hermitage; a daughter, Rhonda Chambliss and husband Andy of Hampton; grandchildren, Sunnie Wood and husband Gabe of Grapevine, Jacie Scott and husband Montana of Hermitage, Dylan Johnson of Hermitage and Izzie Johnson of El Dorado; great grandson, Ezra Wood of Grapevine; along with many other friends and family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the funeral home. You can sign James' guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
