O.Z. McGee, Jr., age 66 of Star City, AR, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born December 11, 1956, in Star City, AR to Mildred Boyd McGee and the late O.Z. McGee, Sr.
He worked for R.M. Courson for many years before retiring from Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel and was a member of Holly Springs Missionary Baptist Church. O.Z. was an avid hunter and fisherman, a loving father and husband, enjoyed spending time outdoors, he loved to watch the Arkansas Razorbacks play football, and maintaining the land he grew up on. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Cornish and Elizabeth McGee.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Maxwell McGee of Star City; two daughters, Maggie McGee of Star City and Brandi Smith and husband Wade of Colorado; his mother, Mildred Boyd McGee of Star City; and his best buddy, Gunner.
Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Long Pine Family Cemetery in Star City. There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. You can sign his guestbook page on this website.
