She was a retired cook at Ray's Restaurant where she worked for many years. She also cooked for many deer camps and was also a gifted seamstress. Pearl loved fishing, watching game shows being a sports mom attending all her son's sporting events, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also attended business college for a few years. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by two brothers, Alonzo Lee and Charles Edward Jackson; and one sister, Norma Jean Neal.
She is survived by her children, Arlesia Green (Craig) of Monticello, Robert Jones, Jr. (LaShanna) of Monticello, Roderick Jones of Monticello and Reginald Jones (Ashley) of Warren; two sisters, Thester Little of Pine Bluff and Maelene Harris (Johnnie) of Dermott; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who loved her dearly; and four special friends, Bennie Walton, Denetra Foster, Pearline Binns and Joyce Gold. The family would like to issue a special thank you to her nephew, Melvin Lee Trotter for taking her to all her doctor visits; and to the Mark and Chris Ray family for taking such good care of Pearl for many years.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Martez Scott officiating. There will be a wake Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. You can sign Pearl's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
