Mary Elizabeth Alexander McNeese age 88 passed from this life on December 4, 2023 at Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation in Warren, Arkansas. She was the widow of Robert Carey McNeese.

Born and raised in Monticello, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Euna and L. V. Scifres.

She belonged to the United Methodist Church of Monticello.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) McNeese, her mother, father and brother, Tommy Scifres , all of Monticello. She is survived by family and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to thank Arkansas Hospice and Chapel Woods staff for their kindness and care during her stay there.

Most of all, the family is grateful to Grand Manor of Monticello for helping her have 5 years of a full and happy life. Special thanks and love goes to Chris Barnett, her family and Pam Simmons for their selfless love and care during her life and especially during her declining health.

Mary will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and love toward her family and her many friends. Everyone who knew her loved her sweetness and genuine concern for others.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

The family requests that any memorial gifts are to go to Arkansas Hospice, United Methodist Church of Monticello or Monticello 2nd Chance Fur Dogs, LLC.

    We are so sorry Mary has passed. We knew Mary many years as a good friend. We enjoyed her friendship & good times while living 5 years at Grand Manor. She was always so friendly & nice to everyone. Mary had been a guest at our Rabb Road home many times through the years-always such a delightful & fun woman!
    May God continue Blessing her family 🙏🏻 I know she is in Jesus’’ loving arms now. Thank God she was our friend❤️
