Janice Carol Phillips Henderson
August 4, 1946 - December 20, 2023

Janice Carol Phillips Henderson, age 77, of Richmond, TX, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. She was born August 4, 1946, in Monticello, AR to the late Tess Funderburg Phillips. Janice was an in-home health assistant who enjoyed taking care of her elderly patients. She loved to sew just like her mother and grandmother. She was very artistic and did lots of paintings and arts and crafts over the years including painting rocks. She once painted an owl on a rock that was so realistic the person, she gifted it to put it in their garden and the rabbits quit stealing meals. She loved her grandkids even though they all lived far away.

In addition to her mother Janice is preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Rebecca Henderson; sisters, Bonnie Wallis and Sue Trask; brothers, Wayne Phillips and Howard ''Buddy'' Phillips. She is survived by her sister, Judy; children, Jon (Rachel) Henderson, Sarah (Mark) Donogan, and Andrew Henderson; grandchildren, Micah Donogan, Joshua Donogan, Wesley Schults, Hunter Henderson, Noah Henderson, Luke Henderson, and Trinity Henderson; her dear nieces, Marian and Trini that went over and beyond helping her in her final years; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 12:15 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
