John Henry Daniels, 79, of Hamburg, Arkansas, passed away on December 26, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born October 26, 1944, in Fountain Hill, Arkansas to the late John D. and Doris Daniels. John was a UAM alumnus and a retired Veteran of the United States Army. He also retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Mill at Crossett and was a Jehovah's Witness. John loved being around his family, going to the Casino, and playing checkers. His favorite thing to do was watch Western movies.
He is preceded in death by his wife Helen Daniels; daughter, Corene Mills; mother, Doris Daniels; father, J.D. Daniels; and four brothers, Elvin Daniels, Horace Daniels, Leon Daniels, and George C. Youngblood.
John leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Laretta Daniels Davidson and husband Michael, Angela Daniels Williams and husband Jeffery Williams, and Alecia Daniels, all of Hamburg, Arkansas; one sister, Dorthy Daniels of Monticello, Arkansas; one godson, Jalen Helms; one nephew, Johnathan Young; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as a host of cousins, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Graveside services will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Horace Ingram and Pamela Lambert officiating.
