Minnie Pearl James McGlaughlin, age 81 of Monticello, AR, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at her home. She was born March 4, 1942, in Guy, AR to the late John Wesley James and Delitha Davis James. Mrs. Minnie enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds as well as canning the vegetables she grew. She enjoyed going to her family reunions and spending time with family and grandkids. She was the widow of Robert Sidney McGlaughlin and attended the Tabernacle of Faith Church. She is preceded in death by eight of her siblings.
She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Lysle of Monticello, Kathy Lawson (Jerry) of Monticello, and Mary Hammock (Tommy Freeman) of Winchester; two sons, Ricky McCloud (Chrissy) of Monticello and Larry McCloud (Stacy) of Lacey; four step-children, Robert D. McGlaughlin (Susan) of Monticello, Lillie Wells (Clarence) of Monticello, Judy Brown (Jerry) of Monticello and Jeannie Hall (Jeremy Meeks) of Monticello; one brother, Carl James of Winchester; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 with Rev. Jack Hill, Sr. officiating.
