Frances Lou Williams Hunter, age 85 of Whitewright, Texas, formerly of Dermott, AR, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at her home. She was born November 6, 1938, in Dumas, AR to the late Oscar Williams and Vida Ogden Williams.
She was a retired production worker for Wells Lamont Glove Factory after 36 years of service and was a member of Aulds Baptist Church. Frances enjoyed quilting, hunting and spending quality time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Williams and Ray Williams; a sister, Joy Williams; and a grandson, Brandon Skipper.
She is survived by a daughter, Charmin Skipper of Whitewright, TX; two sons, Alan Hunter and wife Nicole of Whitewright, TX and Chris Hunter of Monticello; two grandsons, Tyler Denlinger and James Grubbs; one granddaughter, Hayden Hunter; and a brother, Andy Williams of Halley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Temple Baptist Church in Dermott, AR with Rev. Bobby Franklin officiating. There will be a visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Drew County, AR. Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Denlinger, James Grubbs, Justin Wilson, Bobby Bates, Aiden Maloney and Chris Lloyd. You can sign Frances' guestbook registry on this page.

    I am so sorry for your loss. Frances was a really sweet woman, and she and I have had many chats sitting around the table visiting when Becky Davis had her little store here in Dermott. I see her in my mind's eye now. Although I haven't seen her in many years, she frequently comes to mind when I drive by where the store was. I wish all of you peace.
