David Carpenter, 69, of Monticello, AR passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR. He was born February 19, 1955, in Monticello, AR, to the late Willie Brantley Carpenter and Joyce Naron Ricks. Before his retirement, David worked at Chase Bag. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch movies.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Carpenter; and a brother, Glen Carpenter. He is survived by his daughter, Christi Clemons and husband Bubba; three grandchildren, Whitni Alvis, Jayci McDaniel, and Brooklyn Odom; five great-grandchildren, Hadleigh Alvis, Wyatt Alvis, Brynn Alvis, John David McDaniel, and Caleb McDaniel; the mother of his children, Rose Carpenter; siblings, Dale Carpenter, Nancy Smith, Shirley Rial Naron, and Cindy Murphy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m.
